Guides / How we curate
How we curate clearance furniture
Last Call Furnishings is a clearance curator, not a warehouse showroom. We pick a short list of bedroom pieces that still look and function like something you would want to own — then arrange US freight after you pay.
1. What “curated clearance” means here
Clearance and last-call stock turns over fast. We do not list every deal we see. A piece has to clear a simple bar (see our clearance furniture glossary): useful in a real bedroom, finish and build that photograph honestly, and a freight path we can actually run. If it only looks cheap on paper, we skip it.
2. What we look for
- Everyday function — drawers that open, outlets where cords belong, platform slats that support a mattress without a box spring.
- Honest size — full means full, not “almost queen.” Dimensions should fit guest rooms and smaller bedrooms without surprises.
- Finish you can live with — natural or driftwood oak veneers that clean with a damp cloth; no mystery “was” pricing games on our site.
- Weight and assembly reality — we expect freight cartons and DIY setup; we say so up front.
3. Freight is part of the buy
Large bedroom furniture rarely ships like a small parcel. After you pay, we arrange freight to your US address. Timing is usually 2 to 4 weeks for beds and similar pieces; smaller items often land in about 1 to 3 weeks. Threshold / first dry area is common — someone should be home, and you move cartons inside. Read the freight delivery guide before you order.
4. Stock can move under us
Clearance inventory is shared with other channels. A piece can sell out between when we list it and when we try to fulfill. That is why some pages stay up for details while buy is paused. We would rather leave a listing “unavailable” than take payment we cannot complete.
5. Full refund if we cannot fulfill
If we accept an order and then cannot fulfill it, you get a full refund. No partial credits, no “store credit only.” That policy is the other half of curation: we only sell what we believe we can deliver, and we make you whole when clearance stock disappears.
Quick checklist
